OUR REPORTING SYSTEMS.
You get what you Inspect, not what you Expect™

We are able to report on 21 of the major aspects of the home using the exclusive computer- linked Grassroots® checklist. This includes everything from the Foundation/Basement to the Roof both inside and out.

The On-Site Checklist -- Our comprehensive checklist looks at over 2,000 items in the home. This truly unique system has been developed with the inspector in mind in that it is easy to use, complete and concise. All of the 21 sections in our checklist are divided into two distinct categories, the Characteristics and the Observations of the home. The Characteristics section acts as a permanent record of what actually exists in the home. In each section we give you the facts as to whether or not, for example, the house has copper or galvanized plumbing, if the wiring is copper or aluminum and so on.The Observation portion of the Checklist acts as a prompter, for the inspector, if you will. For example, in the Foundation/Basement section we look for paint peeling, water stains on walls, rust around the furnace etc. as they may indicate that signs of moisture are present. This "check" system aids the inspector in his/her inspection and is computer linked to assist in the generation of the narrative report.

The Narrative Report --
Our exclusive computerized reporting system is linked to the checklist to make it simple to generate our narrative report. At Grassroots® we feel that there is no reason to report on the items that are in satisfactory condition so we highlight only those that require attention or by their very nature are, for example, unusual, distinct or superior.
In addition Grassroots® feels it is important to give the client an estimated cost to repair or replace any of the items of concern. This is only an approximation for the clients budgeting purposes. The estimated cost enables the buyer to make an educated decision when considering a home for purchase.

The Report Card --
This is a one-page synopsis or "snap-shot" of the home. It gives the consumer a summary of the homes' overall rating for each of the 21 sections. We also detail by section the overall estimated cost of repair or replacement to any items requiring attention. From this the client can get and overall understanding of what is required before they purchase a home.

HOME INSPECTIONS

Reduce the stress.

Purchasing a home is one of the biggest decisions of your life! With all that's at stake, it's crucial that you're fully aware of the condition of the major systems and components before you buy.

A Grassroots® Inspection is an objective examination of your prospective building and/or property to assure you that its condition meets with your approval before you close your real estate transaction.

COMMERCIAL INSPECTIONS

No one likes surprises.

Whether you own, are about to lease, or, are purchasing a building, don't wait to find out what condition the building's systems & components are in.

Knowing the condition of a building will allow you to budget more accurately and provide for expenditures down the road -- whether it's a new roof, HVAC or simply maintenance related items.

ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTIONS

It affects us all.

Today, more and more people are concerned about our environment. It affects us all…at home, at work or simply everywhere you go. Naturally, there are the health concerns that stem from environmental issues, but there’s also a financial side to it as well. It includes the potential healthcare costs for individuals, employees, employers and the likes, as well as the financial liability and responsibility for those responsible for the creation and clean-up relating to those environmental concerns.
